Ubisoft’s long-running action-adventure franchise Assassin’s Creed has experienced great success over the past few years. Since the launch of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, we have been getting a mainline Assassin’s Creed game every alternate year, however, it seems like that might not be the case anymore. Furthermore, we might be getting a huge expansion of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla in the year 2022. So, with that being said let’s take a look at all the latest leaks and rumors of the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

According to well-known Youtuber and Assassin’s Creed leaker, Jonathan, no mainline Assassins Creed game will be released this year and possibly in the upcoming year as well. He notes that rather than a mainline Assassin’s Creed game, a small-scale game regarding the former King of England, Richard Lionheart, was planned for 2022. The title was apparently in pre-production, but eventually got screwed up due to the Pandemic situation, as a result of which the title has probably been canceled or shelved.
Jonathan further states that in case the title is not cancelled or shelved, then we might hear about it at E3 2021, or at this year’s Ubisoft Forward.
Of course, none of these are confirmed, and they are just rumors, so take them with a grain of salt. Even though it must be noted here that Jonathan has previously provided accurate leaks regarding Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and its DLC content.

3rd Expansion “Meteor’ Coming to Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
Apart from it, a new leak via @TheRAFITI69 and @xj0nathan speculates that Assassins Creed Valhalla might get a third DLC which has been codenamed “Meteor.” The leak also suggests that the DLC might be switched to a standalone title as well, which could be somewhat similar to what Far Cry New Dawn was to Far Cry 5.
