Hitman is a stealth video game franchise developed by the Danish developer IO Interactive, and previously published by Eidos Interactive and Square Enix. Hitman’s first release was on 21 November 2000 releasing the first game of the series named Hitman: Codename 47. It’s been a total of 21 years of continuation of the game franchise and we have observed a lot of development throughout the years into the games, both in terms of graphics, strategy, techniques, and unique storylines.

1. Hitman Codename 47 (2000)

In those days the first release of the Hitman franchise required only 64MB of RAM, 400MB of storage, and 12MB of VRAM. This helps us to understand that the graphics were purely minimalistic but the strategies and the storyline were one of a kind. People haven’t had such a gaming experience before.
Hitman is a modern-day assassin with modern-day equipment such as silenced weapons, Hitman is a master of killing with no emotions or expressions and is thus regarded as a myth to the whole world. Hitman accepts contracts to eliminate certain individuals in return for money being paid.
2. Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (2002)

The silent assassin provided similar graphic performances but the storyline was totally new and better, they included more ways to make the game interesting such as introducing unique ways of eliminating different targets. That’s when we knew that this game is going to be perfected over time.
3. Hitman: Contracts (2004)

Hitman Contracts is a game where the Hitman franchise had a significant change to the graphics development and UI of the game. The gamers waited for such a game during that time and the followers of the Hitman legacy were satisfied.
4. Hitman: Blood Money (2006)
Hitman blood money is a game where the developers had a huge leap to the graphics and an overall appeal of the game. Blood money had the most brutal killing scenarios and top-notch tactics of its era.
The release of Blood money was the point of the major evolution of the Hitman franchise.
5. Hitman: Absolution

Hitman Absolution was a long-awaited Hitman game to be released after 2006 (Blood Money) no sequel was released until 2012. As of March 2013, Absolution had sold over 3.6 million copies worldwide. Absolution was a banger because of multiple ways of playing the same missions and killing the same targets with different strategies, the graphics specification were improved drastically. Absolution took the world by surprise and thus the hitman franchise became famous day by day.
6. Hitman 2016

Hitman 2016 was a more polished and well-integrated version of its prequel “Hitman: Absolution”. The Hitman franchise kept on providing more versatility and mind hovering puzzles to its players as they always wanted their players to discover and see something new every time.
7. Hitman 2 (2018)

Hitman 2 was met with generally positive reviews, with critics considering it to be an improvement over its predecessor. Hitman 2 is the highest selling game of the whole Hitman franchise getting a total of 300 million gross revenue worldwide.
8. Hitman 3 (2021)

Hitman 3 is the current trend, it has become a craze over the internet. Hitman is such a game that people don’t hesitate to buy over the years to follow its storyline. Hitman 3 brings us the final chapter of the world assassination Trilogy.
