Riot Game’s popular title League of Legends has finally received a great series with a story to look out for. Here’s everything you need to know about the show and don’t worry, there are no spoilers!
Riot’s Arcane
Arcane is an animated web series based on Riot Game’s twelve-year-old title ‘League of Legends‘. Riot has collaborated with Netflix to bring out a wonderful story that is a part of the League of Legends realm.
It primarily focuses on Jinx’s origin story and her life with her sister Vi, amidst the streets of Piltover and Zaun.

Arcane’s Theme
The show is primarily based on these two locations of the twin cities. Piltover symbolizes an idealistic society that is self-branded as ‘the city of progress’. The city of Zaun, on the other hand, is a place with unfiltered criminal activities. It illustrates quite the opposite sight than the former. This opts out the idea of utopia and dystopia.
In the series, the contrast between good (Piltover) and evil (Zaun) has been illustrated in a more complicated way. There’s much more to the story than just good versus evil. The series shows how Piltover had held down Zaun, the undercity, for years forcing them into a disadvantageous spot.
The citizens of the Undercity were forced to ruthless Silco, as a result, who promised them that he will turn the Undercity into the city of Zaun. He would do anything to get the upper hand over Piltover.
Main Characters
There are plenty of characters in League of Legends, that kept the game interesting and fun for twelve long years. However, implanting them all in the series is a no-shot plan. Thus, Arcane focuses on the four characters, Jinx and Vi, who are sisters. And the other duo partnership of Viktor and Jayce. There are often smaller stories embedded in the main story that feature characters from Runeterra like Ekko, Caitlyn, and Heimerdinger.
Is Arcane worth Watching?
If you are a League of Legends fan, then surely you don’t want to miss out on this beautiful show. And even if you have never played or heard of LOL, you will still like the show. Arcane has a much more in-depth story that has both real and dark issues and scenarios often. There are often violence, disturbing scenes, blood, and use of foul language. It is the perfect blend that many of you will find interesting.
