We are just mere days away from the release of one of the most anticipated games of the year, Hitman 3. The third entry of the rebooted Hitman franchise will serve as a conclusion to the dark and convoluted storyline of Agent-47. So, with that being said, let’s take a look at everything that you need to know about Hitman 3 before you jump into the ruthless world of assassinations with Agent-47.
RELEASE DATE AND PLATFORM
Developer IO Interactive announced that Hitman 3 will be released on 20th January 2021 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, and Google Stadia.
However, unlike the previous versions, this game won’t be available on Steam. Instead, PC players will have to buy it from Epic Games Store.
Developers have also announced that Hitman 3 will be available on Nintendo Switch as well, but, as of this writing, they have not specified the exact release date for the Nintendo version.
GAMEPLAY
Just like the previous entries of the Hitman franchise, Hitman 3 will place you in the boots of the professional contract killer codenamed Agent-47. An assassin who is genetically modified to be a perfect killing machine.
Hitman 3 will also continue its open sandbox style of gameplay from the previous two entries of the franchise. The game will take the players to various exotic and AI-dense locations across the globe, while also giving them the freedom to eliminate their targets in a manner that they desire.
LOCATIONS
Hitman 3 will have six playable locations at launch and so far, three of them have been revealed. Those three include Dubai, England, and China. It remains to be seen what the other location of the game will be.
However, that’s not all. Developer IO Interactive has announced that Hitman 3 will allow players to import locations from Hitman (2016) and Hitman II (2018) as well, giving the players a wide variety of options to choose from.
HITMAN 3 VR
For the first time in the Hitman series, players will be able to play and witness Agent-47 from a first-person perspective, thanks to the VR support that will be available at launch. The developers have also announced that every location from Hitman (2016) and Hitman II (2018) can be enjoyed in VR as well. At launch Hitman 3 will only work on PlayStation VR, but no PC VR support has been announced yet.
EDITIONS
There are two different editions of Hitman 3; the standard edition which contains just the base game, and then there is the deluxe edition which includes the base game as well as the Deluxe pack. The deluxe pack includes in-game items, suits, soundtracks, and much more.
The standard edition of Hitman 3 will retail for 1,453 INR and the deluxe edition costs 4,899 INR.
