The popular battle royale genre has been a massive hit in the modern gaming world. The start of it being around the year 2015 and the following years.
With games like H1Z1, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Fortnite, Apex Legends, etc. being some of the most popular ones in this genre. Like many other companies, Ubisoft tried to seize the opportunity down the line with their battle royale spin game called ‘Hyper Scape’. The game remained relevant for some time but soon became a flop as it couldn’t compete with the leading one in the market, also the diminishing craze of battle royales affected it a bit.
Brief Game Overview
This is until now, as Ubisoft’s recent announcement of their latest objective-driven, battle royale game Ghost Recon Frontline with more than 100 player support is in the making. The game modes that Ghost Recon Frontline will feature are listed below:
Expedition
This is the main game mode of the Frontline. The Expedition game mode features a battle royale between a total of 102 players, divided among teams of three (trios), on an island-type map called Drakemoor. The rules to win this one is different, as a team needs to search and claim all three pieces of intel, which are necessary to head to a designated area/extraction zone. The extraction process includes a helicopter that the players need to get on.
The twist is that, when the extraction helicopter comes in, all other remaining players on the will also be notified and will have the chance to sabotage the team’s extraction. This type of rule is quite similar to another well-known battle royale called Ring of Elysium. There are also other tactics that can be used to secure your victory which will be revealed soon.
Control
The second game mode known is called Control, which will feature a 9v9 mode over a smaller area, fighting for domination. All equipment, contractors from the main game modes will be available in this mode. It is a more fast-paced experience and will offer the players another option out of the battle royale experience.
More Game Modes
For now, only two modes are revealed, these are the signature Expedition battle royale mode and the alternative Control mode. There will be more game modes coming to the game with the release of each new season.
Contractors
There are different contractors to select from, each having its special perks. You can even switch between different contractors in the midst of an ongoing game. This gives you unimaginable tactical freedom that you can use and be versatile in situations that are against you. You can use this to call reinforcements on the battlefield like smoke-screen drones, barricades, and auto-turrets. Use the perfect strategy to win rather than completely depending on gunplay, the classic Tom Clancy style.
CLASS-BASED SQUADS
The game has a class-based squad system that helps you to team up with other players that have different class preferences. This means your games will be the non-repetitive ad you’ll get more versatility on the battlefield. You can use the various types of equipment and perks that your team members have to provide to get the perfect upper hand in the game.
