The all-new location that players now have access to in the game is called The Chasm and it is a region found close to Liyue. This new location has a great topographical overview and it is mainly divided into two sections. The first section is the upper region of The Chasm, called The Surface. While the other region is the underground region which requires players to complete a special quest to unlock them.

The Surface region of The Chasm is close to normal terrain and is enriched with various Geo elemental constructs. However, the underground region is quite the contrary with its dark and strange environment. The Surface is easily accessible and players will need to unlock the underground region of The Chasm from the Surface.

How to unlock the Underground region of The Chasm, Genshin Impact 2.6

To unlock the underground region, also called ‘the mines’, of The Chasm, players will have to take up the new world quest titled “Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering”. This all-new world quest is the second part of The Chasm Delver’s questline and players need to complete this one in order to unlock the seal.

Through the first part of The Chasm Delver questline, players will need Muning, an NPC within The Surface region. He will trigger the second part of the questline, called the “Surreptitious Seven-Star Seal Sundering”. But before all that, players need to know about certain requirements to attain this part of the quest.

Players will need to be at least Adventurer Rank 28 to take on this task. The Adventurer Rank is completely different from the World Level, so keep that in mind. Another requirement is that the players must complete the Archon Quest Chapter I: ACT III, which is called “A New Star Approaches”, which is obviously the one that will allow players to enter the Surface region of the Chasm.

So first of all, after speaking to Muning, who would place his concern about accessing the mines, players will have to look for an Adventurer who goes by the name of Zhiqiong. Zhiqiong will then task the player to break the seal to the mines. This seal was formed by Liyue Qixing, who had to discard the access to the mines region of The Chasm with magic. And now, to break the seal, players will have to dispel Qixing’s magic array. To do so, players will need a new gadget called the “Lumenstone Adjuvant”. With the help of this device, players can easily destroy the 3 separate Bedrock Keys, scattered within the Surface of The Chasm.

Location of the 3 Bedrock Keys

  1. The First Bedrock Key is located in the South-east direction of Cinnabar Cliff.
  2. The second Bedrock Key is situated at Glaze Peak.
  3. The third and the last Bedrock key can be found near the center of Fuao Vale.

Now use the gadget to destroy these cage-like bedrock Keys and after destroying all three of them, the seal will wear off, unlocking the mine region of The Chasm in Genshin Impact.

This concludes the guide regarding the brand new location in Genshin Impact called the Chasm and how players can unlock its underground region. There is a lot more stuff that came with the Genshin Impact version update. We will be talking about them in detail, especially the Ability Guide of the new character called Ayato.
