The whole game community is overwhelmed with joy about the upcoming Genshin Impact 2.5 version update. The game developers, miHoYo, had showcased all the new things that are coming with the new version update as always. They have also dropped some free Primogems codes but they are now expired.
If we sum up and describe the upcoming update, it is not that massive in terms of the previous one but we will still be getting a lot of new stuff with this one, especially an all-new 5-star character!

The upcoming version update has been named “When the Sakura Bloom”. The community is very excited for what’s to come as they will be getting three new characters in the game for the very first time. Note that not all of them are playable characters but they are still worth the hype.
Genshin Impact 2.5 Release Date
It might seem very recently that the Genshin Impact 2.4 version update came out and you would be right. It was released on 5th January 2022 and it has only been a month we will be getting the 2.5 version update. The release date for the upcoming update is set for 16th February 2022 according to some leaks and other sources.
What’s New?
There are a few things coming in the new update that needs to be addressed but for now, all the limelight falls on the introduction of three new game characters. Let us clear the news with the most important one, the 5-star playable character, Yae Miko.
Players already have made acquaintance with Yae Miko as seen in the recent leaks. Her character design is really of a pink-haired fox lady and she will be a playable 5-star Electro Catalyst user. Her banner will be dropped within the first couple of weeks once the update is live. So make sure you have your Primogems stacked up for a spin.
Yae Miko’s character story will wind up in close relation with Raiden Shogun, another character from the Inazuma region. The developers have also confirmed that they will give an opportunity to get Raiden Shogun through a banner rerun, right after the Yae Miko banner. We will be making a detailed post regarding Yae Miko’s abilities so stay tuned. As for the other two new characters, here is everything you need to know.
The first of the three new additions to the game is the only playable character in the game. The second new addition is a new in-game boss that fans are crazy about. It is a multi-armed version of Raiden Shogun, with horns. It will be a weekly boss and quite hard to beat actually. Thus fans are riled up about the new challenge that they will get to face! Fans really liked this boss, an aggressive version of Raiden Shogun rather than the version they get to play with.
The third new character is Kamisato Ayato, who is the brother of Kamisato Ayaka. He will not be a playable character however this is until the next update. The Genshin Impact community has always wished for Ayato to be a playable character so there’s a possibility.

After the major three new character additions to the game, there’s news of a new item that can help fight off “Corrosive Darkness”. There’s also a fun little bartending mini-game where players will have to mix different ingredients to make drinks.
