About the Omni Chip collection Quest
It is common for the developers to throw in a few collectible quests and challenges, every now and then, in the game. The latest one of which involves players locating and collecting Omni Chips in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2. These Omni Chips in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 are a new special item that will go towards the upgrade meta of the brand new Omni Sword. You will be able to use these Omni Chips to upgrade all sorts of things of your Omni Sword, including its color, handguard, blade, and sound effect.
How to unlock the Omni Sword in Fortnite?
To unlock the new Omni Sword, players will need to purchase the brand new Battle pass of this season. And after getting it, all the customizable options for the Omni Sword will be unlocked. There are multiple things you can add to your sword by using Omni Chips and you will need quite a few of those. Currently, there are 9 of those available in the game but more will be added in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2, further down the season.
Where to find Omni Chips in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2?
As mentioned before, there are 9 Omni Chips available in the game for now. They are scattered around the map in groups of three, within three separate locations.
Here are the locations where you will be able to find Omni Chips in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2.
- Omni Chips (3) in Mighty Monument
- Omni Chips (3) in Logjam Lumberyard
- Omni Chips (3) in Greasy Grove
Omni Chips (3) in Mighty Monument
For this one, head towards Mighty Monument. There will be three Omni Chips available around this POI. The first one will be under the rock formation on the Northern side. The second one will be available around the dock on the western side. The last one is located in the easternmost corner of Mighty Monument, in front of the small island.
Omni Chips (3) in Logjam Lumberyard
The second set of Omni Chips in Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 2 will be around Logjam Lumberyard. Go towards the Southwestern side, where you will find multiple log stacks. You will find one Omni Chip right near the lakeside, beside one of the log stacks. The second one will be within the large house. The last Omni Chip in this location is on the Eastern side, around the large stack of wood.
Omni Chips (3) in Greasy Grove
Once again, you will find three Omni Chips around this POI. The first one is easy to find, it will be in front of the cash counter within the Taco restaurant. The second one will be right over the crosswalk on the eastern side. And the last one will be in between two benches on the south side.
