When will the Steam Summer Sale event begin?
Although not confirmed by Valve, the Steam Summer Sale 2021 is speculated to begin on June 24th, 2021, and continue till July 8th, 2021. This information was leaked by Steam Database (@SteamDB) on Twitter, back in April, which reported that Valve had communicated the above dates to its partners. Steam Database is best known for its news and updates regarding Valve’s Steam platform, and it has a very accurate track record. You can check out the tweet HERE:
As mentioned above, the dates that have been noted here are just rumors and are not confirmed by Valve, hence, they are subjected to changes. So, with that out of the way, let’s take a look at our list now!
A) Sea of Thieves

Kicking off our list is the Sea of thieves, a first-person pirate action-adventure game that lets you explore a vast open world. You play as a pirate who completes voyages from various trading companies and in turn, becomes a pirate legend. With a heavy emphasis on exploration, the vast shared world of Sea of Thieves is filled with perplexing treasures, sunken ships, uncharted islands, and bizarre mysteries to uncover.
In short, Sea of thieves provides you with the ultimate pirate fantasy experience. You can carry out your voyages either solo or with up to four other players in Co-op. Plus, what makes this title all the more tempting now, is its upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean-themed update known as the Sea of Thieves: A Pirate’s Life. This new update will bring Captain Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones as two new characters in the game, and will also add a lot of new quests, enemies, territories, and cosmetics as well.
B) The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt – Game Of The Year Edition

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the CD PROJEKT RED’s critically acclaimed title that was released back in 2015. This third-person action-adventure RPG was so outstanding that it captivated the hearts of fans and critics alike, receiving praise for its narrative, gameplay, visuals, combat, and world design. The game places you in the boots of Geralt of Rivia, a highly trained monster slayer who is in search of his adopted daughter, Ciri.
It takes about 50+ hours to complete just the campaign, however considering the ton of side quests it has, you may well be spending more than 100 hours here. Plus, the Game of the Year Edition also includes two massive DLCs (Witcher 3: Blood and Wine & Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone) that further adds an extra 50 hours of gameplay.
C) Metro Exodus

Perhaps the shortest game on the list. Metro Exodus is often known for the quality it offers rather than the quantity. The game is set in a post-apocalyptic world where the nuclear winter has taken over. You play as Artyom, a soldier from the underground tunnels of Moscow who’s in search of a better place to live. His adventures take you from the radiation-filled areas of snow lands to large Barren deserted terrains.
Everything about this game from storytelling, to variety in enemy types, to the stellar environment and addictive gameplay design is praiseworthy.
D) No Man’s Sky

No Man’s Sky is an open-world survival title from Hello Games that has infinite possibilities. It allows you to explore the vastness of space and traverse through its uncountable number of planets, each with its own unique form of environment design, lifeform, and risks.
There is a heavy emphasis on four different aspects in this game, which includes: survival, exploration, combat, and trading. The game also supports up to four-player co-op, and a recent update has also brought VR headsets support as well, which allows you to get an immersive experience of traveling through space.
E) Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Gold Edition

Assassin’s Creed Odyssey provides you with the biggest and most ambitious open-world design of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The plot is based in ancient Greece, and instead of focusing on the typical conflict between the Assassin Brotherhood and the Templar Order, it tells a mythological history of the Peloponnesian War between Athens and Sparta. You play as Alexios/Kassandra, a mercenary who boasts special powers, who eventually goes on to change the fate of Ancient Greece.
Apart from the campaign, the gold edition of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey offers two massive DLC expansions (Legacy of the first blade & The fate of Atlantis) and it also includes the Assassin’s Creed III remastered version as well
F) A Way Out

A Way Out is a third-person co-op action-adventure game where you assume the role of one of two prisoners who makes a daring escape from the prison, which quickly turns out to be an unpredictable, and unforgettable experience. This game is specifically designed to be played in split-screen co-op multiplayer, which means that you will need another player through either local or online multiplayer support. Overall, A way out is one of the best story-driven co-op multi-players out there that guarantees you an emotional joyride.
G) Red Dead Redemption 2

Live the Life of an outlaw named Arthur Morgan and its gang Van der Linde and become a part of the extraordinary story that follows. From the narrative storytelling of the game to its gameplay mechanics and to its incredible attention to detail, Red Dead Redemption 2 is a masterpiece from every aspect. Apart from its stellar single-player campaign, you can also dive into its vast online world as well.
