Fortnite has recently made some big changes to the game and it all started with ‘The End’ event of Chapter 2. Let us look back at what unfolded in the Fortnite realm and what is on the table.
Fortnite Chapter 2 The End event
Near the start of the vent, a giant mysterious blue cube spawned on the game map, right next to the lobby of players. We could see the infamous Cube Queen across the distance, while the giant cube did nothing except giving some bounce to the jumping player.
Around the 10 minutes countdown before the match startup, weapons were added to everyone’s inventory as zombies started spawning across the map. The player fought against the zombies till the timer ran out. When the clock reaches zero, an alarm soon blazed the island as the Cube Queen’s pyramid arose.
And during that sight, a giant UFO, carrying a huge army for the Cube Queen had appeared. While players were trying to defend against the enemies, the battle became hasty and the UFO blew up the blue cube.
After that, a cutscene followed up, starring Agent Jones and Dwayne ‘The Rock‘ Johnson. Agent Jones was shown strapped up in a lab chair as Doctor Slone was about to end his life. There’s when a massive figure comes into action, wiping out the enemies and freeing up Agent Jones.
Agent Jones followed the Foundation agent to get to safety. It followed up with us, the players, that got the task to follow the character called The Scientist to get Jones and The FOundation. But all this seemed a bit off as the Fortnite island seemed to tip sideways by inches.
Us players eventually succeeded in making the Zero Point as with Agent Jones and The Foundation. The Scientist assured every player with guaranteed safety but that turned sideways as a giant zombie smashed a window that caused water in. This forced everyone inside to rush out.
This followed up with the, now in the water, players slowly rising to the surface as the Fortnite Island tipped sideways until it completely flipped upside down. This caused the Cube Queen to crush down as the portal closed, making the UFO’s interference still.
What followed Up?
After this, the game was eventually off with players watching the waters, not being able to do anything. After a few hours of the vent, the game finally came back live with the brand new Chapter 3 Season 1.
Chapter 3 Season 1- What’s New?
The previous island, which got flipped over, gave rise to the new map for this Chapter., The new Chapter is called ‘Flipped’ and the most noticeable change to the map biome is snow.
The new chapter includes a Spider-Man skin that players can eventually get access to with the season battle pass. The new chapter had also brought two new features to the game, they are Sliding and Swinging. This will give players a more versatile control of the game. Players can also earn battle pass XP in player-made experiences in creative modes.
Our Thoughts
It’s been two years since Chapter 2 was released and we have finally entered Chapter 3. We are really excited to see how the new chapter unfolds as the beginning seemed very promising. Along with the new game mechanics, the new part of the lore of the game’s realm will be very interesting nonetheless.
