Ultimately, when the tables turned against Ishida, he realizes his mistake and suffers from depression. In high school, he sets out to fix things with Nishimiya while facing a feeling of unworthiness and new challenges.

The Tale of Princess Kaguya is an anime based on a very old traditional Japanese tale. The story features an old man, who goes on to discover a tiny nymph within a bamboo shoot. The old man brings her to his mom, to his wife, and takes the responsibility to look after her. Through time, she grows up into a beautiful woman. She gives her possible suitors some graceful tasks to prove their true love for her. The movie gives out a great blend between two different themes of childlike happiness and adultlike blues.
